My stay at the hotel had its ups and downs. The rooms were very attractive and clean, which is a big priority for me. However, I had a bit of a scare with a malfunctioning smoke detector at 4 in the morning, and the room smelled terrible. It was not clean to a minimum standard.

The location of the hotel was great because it is so close to I-81, near many restaurants, and convenient to 460, VA Tech, and Blacksburg. However, it should have been a whole lot warmer.

I had booked a room at this hotel three months ago. The room had a small refrigerator and a small counter space for food and drink, featuring two queen beds. Unfortunately, the room never got really cold even with the thermostat turned all the way down.
